Tara is the most intimately crafted candle in the House of Dhara collection. Inspired by the soft, layered petals of the Peony flower, it is sculpted from pure soy wax in delicate shades of light yellow and white — colours that are not mixed once and repeated, but blended individually for each candle by pouring the wax at different temperatures and intervals. The result is a colour transition that is completely unique to your piece.

No two Taras are identical. That is not a coincidence. It is the entire point.

The craft behind it

Most candles are poured, cooled, and done. Tara is different. Each one is made in a batch of just three, with the yellow and white wax layered and blended by hand at carefully controlled temperatures to achieve a soft gradient that mimics the natural colour variation of a real Peony bloom. It takes longer. It is more demanding. And you can see every bit of that care the moment you hold it.

Caring for Tara

Because of its delicate flower form, Tara burns most beautifully when placed on a completely flat, stable surface with no air movement around it. Trim the wick to 5mm before lighting and keep the first burn short — around 1 to 2 hours — to let the wax soften gently without affecting the petal shape. Keep it away from direct sunlight between burns to preserve the softness of the colour.
