Why the black matters

Achieving a true, even black in soy wax is harder than it sounds. The pigment ratio, the pour temperature, and the cooling rate all have to be precisely controlled to prevent the colour from appearing grey, streaked, or inconsistent. Burning it properly

A 30cm candle demands respect. Trim the wick to 5mm before every single burn — this is especially important on a tall twisted candle where excess wick height creates uneven heat that can cause the wax to run down one side of the spiral. Always burn in a completely draught-free environment. Place it in a secure holder that supports its height and keep all flammable materials well clear. Never leave it burning unattended.
