Getting the best burn out of it

Thirty centimetres of twisted soy wax deserves careful handling. Trim the wick to 5mm before every burn without exception — a candle this tall with an untrimmed wick generates uneven heat that can cause the wax to run down one side of the spiral and ruin the form. Burn it only in a completely still environment, secure in a holder that supports its full height. First burn should run long enough to let the wax pool fully across the diameter before extinguishing.
